Lara García Díaz

Lara García Díaz is a cultural activist and a social theorist at the Antwerp Research Institute for the Arts (ARIA) and the University of Antwerp (UA). Since 2016, and thanks to the prestigious Odysseus Grant of the Flemish Scientific Fund (FWO), she is investigating politics of precarity and cultural practices with commons-based approaches through the lens of feminist theories. Lara is part of the Culture Commons Quest Office (CCQO), an interdisciplinary research team that focuses on the commons in cities as a pivotal resource for a sustainable creative labour. She is also one of the members of the collective Larre, which aim is to develop and put into use, together with other agents, critical tools and feminist practices with which to reconstruct theories and modes of operation in the current cultural sector.
